A Haunting Hallowe’en at Hogwarts!
Spooky season makes a grand return to Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery! During this month-long celebration of the Dark Arts, we’re serving up endless frights throughout October and beyond. To set the stage for this creepiest month of the year, players will enjoy a festive decor takeover throughout the castle and common rooms, including Diagon Alley and all new locations for the first time. Players will also be tasked with hunting down House-themed pumpkins for magical rewards during the final countdown to 31 October.
Where Evil Swoops!
Hallowe’en conjures frightful images of creepy, crawly creatures lurking in the shadows. This month, players will face their fears in exciting new creature-filled events, starting with a Creature Expedition featuring the giant, flesh-eating Acromantula.
Make sure you’ve unlocked the recently released Swooping Evil Magical Creature, a devilish sting-ray-like flying creature that eats brainswhich was previously featured in the Fantastic Beasts film. Players who’ve unlocked this fearsome creature will have access to a new Special Adventure – when a Swooping Evil invades Hogwarts castle, help Hagrid retrieve it before someone gets hurt!
In “The Vampire of Hogsmeade” Side Quest, vampiric rumors abound, circulating throughout Hogwarts, and Professor Dumbledore makes a surprise announcement that Hogsmeade is off-limits! Players must unlock the One-Eyed Witch statue and confront whatever may be waiting in the creepy fog to ensure the festivities of Hallowe’en remain alive and well in Hogwarts.
NEW FEATURE: Hogwarts Diary
Also this month, Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery introduces a brand new narrative-focused feature – the Hogwarts Diary! In this overarching collection event, each page of the diary offers players puzzles to complete. They’ll unlock pieces of the puzzle by completing in-game activities. As parts of the collection are completed, the artwork will reveal scenes via magic inkwells that help the player connect narrative moments to an overarching story over time.
Look out for an invitation from Madam Pince to join her in the library and begin your first Hogwarts Diary adventure to find the Lost Spore Scrolls – a compilation of Hogwarts Headmistress and Professor Dam Phyllida Spore’s extensive studies on magical fungi, rumored to hold invaluable Hogwarts secrets!
Curses & Cases Beyond Hogwarts
In Beyond Hogwarts: Volume 2, players will “Return to Azkaban” and encounter prisoner Verucca Snyde, who answers some questions but also poses some new ones. Meanwhile, the mystery of the Cursed Fountain continues as players are forced to decide, are all curses meant to be broken? Be sure to update Flump on your case progress before month’s end…what new information will be revealed?
