We’ve packed our trunks, gathered our spellbooks, and made our way to Platform 9¾ as “Back to Hogwarts” returns — that time of year when the students of Hogwarts head back to school. Throughout September, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is joining the global celebrations around this season with new adventures, special rewards, a legendary three-headed creature, and new mysteries to solve in your own Hogwarts journey.

Whether you’re returning to the castle or continuing your story Beyond Hogwarts, there’s something new around every corner!

THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

Did you get a chance to tune into the “Back to Hogwarts” Showcase on 1 September? We had a wicked time celebrating all the exciting Harry Potter news that was shared, and getting to meet all of the lovely witches and wizards (and maybe even a few Muggles) who were able to attend. Family, Friends and (In)Felix Felicis adventures in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

FAMILY, FRIENDS & (IN)FELIX FELICIS

Hogwarts is a magical place, where family secrets can form heart-warming memories or dark and dangerous consequences. This month you’ll find with your friends, and a little luck, you can endure any adventure!

  • In “The Girl Who Loved,” our first all-new Castle Chronicles story, a forgotten memento connected to James Potter and Lily Evans will carry you into Hogwarts’ past as you learn about their enduring love story from those who knew them best.
  • In a new Special Adventure, “Magick Most Evile,” whispers from the Hogwarts’ Restricted Section uncover a dark secret from your families’ past — one that threatens even your closest friends!
  • While preparing for Hogsmeade’s first annual Harvest Dance, you and your classmates are struck by a spectacular run of bad luck in the new Special Adventure, “Infelix Felicis”!
  • Volume 3 Chapter 7 continues the Main Quest story in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery later this month. Will your research into the Wizarding War in the Ministry Archives reveal the evidence you need to save someone close to you?


Four Houses and three-headed dogs in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

FOUR HOUSES & THREE-HEADED DOGS

Starting 7 September, log in daily to find one of Hogwarts’ four Heads of House each day to collect a free reward. Track them all down, and Professor Dumbledore will be waiting with a final reward for your efforts!

You may also want to be on the lookout for the latest addition to the Magical Creature Reserve when the Cerberus arrives on 9 September! With three heads and a formidable reputation, this legendary beast is sure to present a unique challenge. Prepare to discover what it will take to approach Cerberus and earn its trust.

Players tending their Hogwarts Harvest can also welcome a colorful new seasonal plant to their greenhouse — the Wild Pansy!
